6 Romantic morning gestures

Foot Massage

Relationships can grow cold if you’re not paying attention to each other. This is why physical contact is key. If you want to wake your partner up in a romantic or caring way, we recommend beginning with a foot massage. Why? Well, a foot massage can be quite pleasant. If your partner spends their entire day running around, this might be just what they need. A foot massage also has deeper effects on your health.

It’s interesting to know that foot massages promote circulation, activate muscles, reduce stress, and relieve pain. Now we don’t expect everyone to have the same spa-quality hands. But this doesn’t mean you can’t make it memorable. Don’t forget to take your time. Maybe even use lavender oil. If it’s successful, you’ll be in your partner's mind for the rest of their day. Do you love getting foot rubs? Is your partner great at them? Sound off in the comment section.

Get a Bath Ready For Them

If you've recently begun dating and aren't sure what your partner wants, talk about it with them. This may not sound romantic, but communication is essential in any relationship. This way, you’ll know exactly what they like in the morning, and they’ll leave for work happy. This is where a bath comes in.

A calm, relaxing bath can help with stress, exhaustion, and depression symptoms. Soaking in a warm tub a few times a week can also help with muscle tightness, making it easier to exercise every day. Listening to soothing music while taking a bath is also smart. You can try waking up your spouse to the sounds of their favorite feel-good song, and running bathwater if they've had a tough work week. You can also add some Epsom salts to the bath to boost it up a notch. If you don’t know, Epsom salts can help relax muscles and reduce discomfort. To reap the benefits, just soak 300 grams in a tub of hot water for 15 minutes. While they’re in the bath, ask them if they’d like anything to drink. I’m not trying to turn you into a butler or anything. It’s just a nice thing to do. Are you usually out the door before they wake up? Put a note next to their bed recommending them to take a bath. This will at least show that you’re thinking about them, and you know what they need.

Prepare An Outfit For Them

Romantic wake-ups are excellent for rekindling a lost flame. Many of them are based on the five love languages, such as physical contact or words of encouragement. A fantastic example of an act of service is having an outfit ready for your spouse to wear when they wake up. There are many couples that pick each other’s clothes. This helps them explore their identities together, finding satisfaction in expressing themselves and their personalities to their best potential. Doing so with the help of your significant other gives them the courage to do things they wouldn’t have considered or dared to try otherwise. You can also leave a message that says something sweet like, "Just wanted to give you one less thing to worry about today”.

If you’d like to take it a step further, you can make them a cup of coffee. Everybody should know how their partner takes their coffee. Leave it on their bedside table before walking out the door. This is the perfect way to wake them up. If they’re up already, you can even prepare them some breakfast. Actually, that brings us to our next pick...

Make Them Breakfast In Bed

Sweet surprises sprinkled throughout your relationship will only help your connection. A little consideration and honesty can show your spouse how much you care while keeping them on their toes. If you want to make your partner’s morning special, treat them to breakfast in bed. Whatever they want... Pancakes, waffles, bacon, scrambled eggs. If you're the sort of person who burns toast, you can always order from their favorite restaurant. This approach makes mornings more bearable. No one enjoys getting out of bed for work. It stinks. But presenting them with some freshly-made morning grub in bed is a special treat they won’t soon forget.

You don't have to save it for the weekend. Why should this only be limited to Saturday and Sunday morning? Try surprising them on a weekday. A nice Monday morning breakfast at their bedside may be exactly what they need to boost their energy for the week ahead. It won’t take long to toss some cereal in a dish and boil the kettle. Keep in mind, not everyone likes breakfast in bed. So, before you surprise them with this, make sure they’ll appreciate it. It could have the exact opposite effect from what you intended.

Make a Note For Them and Place It On Their Pillow

If you’re always leaving work early in the morning, you know the struggle. You usually don’t have a lot of time other than to take a shower and get dressed. Heck, you sometimes don’t even have the chance to make your own breakfast. But if you have just a few minutes, it might be nice to leave your partner a short note. It doesn’t need to be anything poetic. Not everyone is a romance novelist. This note can say anything. Maybe tell them that you love them and that you’ll be thinking of them all day. Whatever’s in your heart will do.

Hidden love notes are a simple way to remind your loved ones that you’re thinking about them. It can put a smile on their face. If you want to spice up your relationship and show your partner how much you love them, putting love notes in hidden locations will do the trick. It doesn’t even need to be a secret place. You are taking a gamble with that after all. I mean, what if they don’t see the note. You’d feel awfully foolish if you spent all day excited just to come home and realize they never read what you left. This is why it’s also good to simply place the note on your pillow. This way, they’ll see it seconds after they wake up. Make a point of writing your spouse's name on the front of the message so that he or she knows it's for them. Otherwise, they might dismiss it as a piece of paper, and won’t even bother to pick it up and read it.

Are they going on a business trip? You can place a love note in their suitcase before they head to the airport. Try keeping it beside the toothbrush or comb, or hidden away in a pair of socks. Work trips away from your loved ones get miserable. This gesture will remind them that you love them.

Cuddle

This is probably the most basic of the morning gestures on this list. It’s certainly the easiest to do since it doesn’t even require you to get out of bed. Not everyone is able to do a proper foot massage or make a good breakfast. Sometimes, cuddling is all you need. Wrapping your arms around your lover and kissing the back of their neck or face is a simple, pleasant, and powerful thing. If it's the weekend, it may lead to another hour or two of you lying in bed, chatting, kissing, or caressing. Who knows? It may lead to something more. Physical contact is crucial in a relationship. This is just another way to bring back a lost spark. One of the nicest feelings in the world is waking up beside your soul mate. But as time passes, things can become stale and boring. Start waking up your partner in style and greet them with these loving gestures.
