Social Value 

Social value means the beliefs of the people living in a society about what is right and what is wrong and what is important in life.

Every society has its own value system which may be different from that of another society and it indicates the culture of that particular society. In the past, we lived in peace and amity with others and showers respect for others' rights likes and dislikes. We were dutiful and responsible for society. "Honesty is the best policy"- this was the motto of people in general. But society is changing continuously.

At present, people hardly care about others. People are becoming selfish day by day. They only think about themselves. The noble qualities are now in exile.

There are many reasons for the degradation of social value. The children do not get proper knowledge about values from the family. Everywhere in society, there is an unbalanced competition to go ahead. The decay of social values in the present age is horrifying. Social crimes are increasing and the law and ordered the situation of the society worsening. Family can play a vital role in this regard. Children should be provided not only with formal learning but also informal learning.
